Fun(d) raising
Lebanese bloggers , twitterers , facebook addicts , social media experts, msn users , their friends and their friends friends and you ( wether you like it or not ) are participating in a collective project called fun(d) raising – the goal of this project is to fun fund raise gifts and toys for underprivileged kids by collecting toys and organizing fun events like arcade games , movies , make it yourself toys , LAN games , <insert your idea here > and ………
You can read the nice intro about the project here , you can join the facebook group , follow up on twitter and even help in the forum . It is a collaborative project where everyone gets the same credit by the end of the day.
NOW, to make things short, if you want to be asked nicely, smoothely and lovely you can go ahead to one of the above ( web page , twitter , facebook group ) and read about the event and get in touch with the ppl… but I do really wanna make things short for you
If you are a good person aka you will participate , invite your friends and all
if you are a bad person , you won’t participate
The algorithm to calculate what type of person you are is quite easy ! and DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO BAD PEOPLE ? bad things ! really !
Special bad things happen to bad people who have me as a friend ( total coincidence ) here is an example :
- Their blogs start to get negative feedback and down ratings on digg, stumble, reddit, technocrati …. their traffic decreases considerably , their administrator password self-mutate and change and strange blog posts about fun(d) raising events start appearing on them
- On facebook, they get tagged repeatedly in “those akward summer pictures” ( if you know what i mean ) , their friend number start to decrease , they get added to the “uncool friend list” , their facebook accounts may get hacked and they are forced to bring all their friends to a repenting ceremony called fun(d) raising
- On twitter, they are added to the “fail list” , their followers will leave them alone to hang out with spam bots only and everyone tweets what an asshole they are
- Their computers catch malware, viruses and spyware . Their good friends won’t help them fix those problems, their programs will develop bugs that will crawl out of the computer and eat them alive, yes , alive !
I am not kidding you my dears, this is what happens to bad people ! So i am leaving you here with a choice, either join the fun(d) raising ppl , have fun , do some good in your life , meet interesting people or suffer miserably

– on a side note sorry guys , been away helping prepare many things , the fun(d) raising thing included, i am hoping to get away with this post about the event, tomorrow we will have the official poster and the nice text that bloggers can post but i thought i would share with you my version of the events.

mir, i have to add: if u ever get bored (u know like in some parallel universe coz this would definitely happen in ur normal life) of being a geekette/developer then i assure u that u should work as a marketing executive – u have skills to convince any1 with anything … or a teacher (u would be perfectly capable of scaring kids – and their parents – to behave … aw bet7etelon laban 3a denayon w bet7oteyon b 2oudet l jraden)!

if you think of it , lot of parts of like is like middle school, just the “games” get more complicated
but in marketing i have to be polite to ppl, smile when i don’t want to and stuff like this yukh… and i think as a teacher i will found the students’ underground community aiming at pissing off the principal every single day in a totally new way !

oh well it went great
on the bowling event we collected 170 000 in 3 hours and 9 gifts 
now we are hosting a wordpress training sessions , then come some movies fun !
